Preparing for Your MAPA Pilot Proficiency Program (PPP)

We’re excited to have you join us for an upcoming MAPA Pilot Proficiency Program (PPP). To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, please review the steps below to prepare for the event.

To begin, all attendees must register as a member on the MAPA Safety Foundation website. Membership is free and is required in order to enroll in the course. Once registered, you may purchase your PPP course ticket directly through the website. If you plan to attend the Saturday evening banquet, please be sure to purchase your banquet ticket(s) at the same time.

As part of our safety and insurance requirements, each participating aircraft must have a rider added by your insurance carrier stating: “While providing flight crew training for the policyholder: MAPA Safety Foundation, Inc., its officers, directors, and employees are included as an additional insured with respect to the Aircraft Liability Coverage; and the Insurance Company agrees to waive its right of recovery against MAPA Safety Foundation, Inc., its officers, directors, and employees with respect to the Aircraft Physical Damage.”

If your insurance carrier indicates that they intend to charge an additional premium for this rider, MAPA Safety Foundation has prepared a form letter explaining why a premium should not be required for participation in our program. You may provide this letter directly to your insurance broker.

👉 Click the button below to download the insurance form letter.

We accept most forms of payment for course registration. If you prefer to avoid credit card processing fees, you may also send a check to the address listed on the website.

Approximately two weeks prior to the event, your student course materials will automatically become available on the website for download to your PC or iPad. We strongly recommend loading these materials into your electronic flight bag (EFB), such as FlyQ, ForeFlight, or Garmin Pilot, so they’re easily accessible during the course.

We look forward to flying with you and helping you get the most out of your MAPA PPP experience. ✈️
